Well, I’ve started blogs in the past, and I’ve never really been that great at keeping up with them. I’ve also put up portfolio sites before, and they also seems to be pretty difficult to update. The thing is, I’ve never tried doing both at the same time. I always had just a portfolio with no voice beyond the images I presented, or I had a blog that was one third design, one third template, and one third forced conversation.
I think just about anyone who starts a site for similar purposes also has a similar experience. For some reason though, this time I feel like this is going to work. I have a portfolio that I’m very proud of, and I have a voice to go along with it. I’m sure as I gain more experience I’ll look back on this blog and my portfolio and I’ll want to revise it and tweak it, but for where I’m at right now as a design professional, this works.
